Happy Veteran's day! I'm so it's been a while since I've posted! The students have been doing amazing on their CA's! They are really working so hard! We are currently working back to poetry until Thanksgiving break! We are comparing lyric and narrative poems! After thanksgiving break we will start drama! Hopefully this keeps their attention until Christmas Break! They are so ready for these breaks! Please keep encouraging your students to work hard and read outside of class! We are almost there! So proud of my students!

We are halfway through our 2nd Six weeks! Progress Reports go out Wednesday. Please let your children know they need to be aware of due dates. I remind students every day to check their missing grades. If students need new papers, tell them to come see me. I have all the copies in my crate! Fall is here and Thanksgiving break is upon us sooner than we think! It's time to get these grades in!
Parents,
Your students should be bringing home a sheet of paper you will need to sign. The paper is stating you understand that the students are responsible for choosing a book, the book if the students choosing will be up the standards and values of your household and that the students will read the book cover to cover. If you have any question, please email me! I am happy to help out. This school year we will be focusing on these standards. We will be carrying these standards throughout the school year.

It's crazy to think we have over 900 students walking through our halls here at Young Junior High. There are so many great teachers here and so many wonderful clubs and sports for your children to be apart of! Let's start this new school year out with a bang! I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of my students!
